Gateway 714JPにFedora Core 4を入れる

TsukumoからGateway 714JPを買いました.比較的新しい機種なので少々不安もありましたが,スムーズにFedora Core 4のインストールが終わって感心しました.

しかし音声に関しては,認識ができたようで(snd-hda-intelモジュール)音が出ません.また,時々Xがおかしくなります(スクリーンショット.なお,一旦Ctl+Alt+F1などでコンソールに切り替えて,Alt+F7で戻ると直るようです.なんでやろう???).参考のためdmesgメッセージを載せます.

※ その後,NVidiaのプロプリタリドライバ(livnaのrpm)を入れると直ります.でも毎回カーネルをアップグレードすると,また手動でとってくる必要があり,ちょっと面倒ですね.

Pentium Dについて,買った人には意味がないのですが,検討している人のための参考.やっぱり買いではなかった(?!)ようですが,しかしAMDのCPUを積んでいる本体はあまりないからしょうがないって.
